The Story of an FPV Drone Operator Who Destroyed an Enemy APC

I sit in front of the screen again, gripping the controller in my hands. My fingers rest firmly on the buttons, my eyes fixed on the monitor. The drone is already in the air. It carries death to the occupiers. Today, my target is an enemy APC with troops inside—and I will destroy it.

The Hunt Has Begun

The thermal camera picks up movement in the forest. The enemy is trying to slip between the trees, thinking they are unseen. They are wrong. I see everything. My “eye” is fast, elusive, merciless. The FPV drone flies low, avoiding branches. I adjust the course, calculate the distance. A few more seconds—and we are within striking range.

My fingers grip the joystick firmly. Inside, there is complete calm. This is not my first flight—and likely not my last. Everything depends on one precise movement. The enemy doesn’t even suspect that death is already flying above them.

A Precise Strike

I press the attack button, and the drone lunges forward. In a matter of moments—the explosion shatters the silence. Flames engulf the armored vehicle, black smoke rises above the trees. They didn’t even understand what happened. Their path has ended.

Adrenaline hits my chest, but I don’t dwell on emotions. The camera turns, scanning the area. The mission is complete—it’s time to return. Another strike against the enemy. Another victory.

Hunters from the Sky

FPV drones have become our wings, our weapon. They see everything, they are elusive, they are precise. The enemy may hide in the forest, in trenches, in armor—but we will find them anywhere. This is our land, and we fight for it.

I set the controller down and take a deep breath. Tomorrow there will be another flight, another target. But today, we have proven once again: the sky above Ukraine belongs to us.
